Performance at the Library and Centre of Learning Resources of Philadelphia University is based upon the principle of ensuring fitness of purpose and fitness for purpose, that is doing the right things, and doing the things right. That is envisioned as encompassing the effectiveness of the policies, processes, outputs and the strategic plans adopted.

Diligent attempts are made by the library team to survey the inputs, throughputs and outputs, and to probe satisfaction of conformity to the national and international standards of quality assurance in this supporting facet of academic community.

The library forms an integral component of the whole university scholarly community dedicated to excellence, through interactive student-centered education and research, emphasizing cutting-edge professional practices in the fields of study offered. The library building at PU is adequately spacious, and fully equipped with cutting-edge technologies and data-bases. It adopts a comprehensive, ambitious and realistic strategy plan for the period 2011 – 2016. All stakeholders participated in its formation, as well as the SWOT analysis that forms an introductory part of the plan. That is considered a prerequisite and a preliminary step in the process of preparation for the work conducted there, as “failing to prepare assuredly means preparing to fail”.
