The mission of the department is to achieve the following:

• To prepare specialists in the field of Communications and  Electronic engineering who are well-equipped with foundations and implementation methodologies that enable them to meet both the challenges and development in engineering technologies.
• To conduct a theoretical and applied research in the field of electronic engineering, communications, and computers.  This actively contributes to the development of the society.
• To hold conferences, workshops, as well as national and international seminars in the fields of electronic engineering, communications and computers.
• To hold agreements with similar institutions and organizations on the local, regional, and international levels to exchange experience and conduct joint research in the field of electronic engineering, communications and computers.
