Learning Outcomes:
Learning outcomes describe what you should know and be able to do if you make full use of the opportunities for learning that we provide. All these skills are described in the following areas (A, B, C, and D). In the individual module syllabi, the categories of learning outcomes (A, B, C, and D) and the individual learning outcomes appropriate to the module are identified.
A: Acknowledge and understanding
A1. Recognize the multi-disciplinarily of the web engineering
A2. Define, describe, and explain basic as well as advanced concepts, principles, processes, development methodologies, techniques, and tools related to the web engineering discipline.
A3. Recognize the similarities and the differences between the web engineering and the software engineering disciplines.
A4. Identify and characterize the successive evolutions of the web, as well as the various web applications types, including the semantic web technologies.
A6. Define, discuss and qualify different criteria of modern Web applications/ web services, such as dependability, performance, scalability, security.
B: Intellectual and cognitive skills
B1. Perform analysis, and design modeling for web applications and services.
B2. Formulate, analyze, and validate stakeholders’ needs.
B3. Apply appropriate methodologies and techniques to develop user-centered/data-centered web applications, and web services taking account of a range of commercial and industrial constraints.
B4. Apply appropriate techniques to develop reliable and secure web applications.
B5. Apply appropriate techniques to build elaborated user-interfaces, and content for web applications.
B6. Design and build web documents.
B7. Generate an innovative design for web products, systems, components, services.
C: Practical skills
C1. Identify and evaluate candidate technologies and tools for developing web applications.
C2. Use web development technologies, and tools to construct and implement web based systems.
C3. Use and evaluate user-oriented Web systems in various domains.
C4. Collect and analyze research data using appropriate engineering analysis tools in tackling unfamiliar problems.
D: Transferable skills
D1. Create innovative solutions.
D2. Plan, organize, and perform time/resource-constrained tasks to achieve goals.
D3. Exercise initiative and personal responsibility, which may be as a team member or leader.
D4. Prepare and write good technical reports.
D5. Prepare and perform good oral presentations.
