Welcome to the Faculty of Nursing – Philadelphia University

In recent history, no profession has played a more impactful role in improving healthcare quality and strengthening health services than nursing, particularly during the past few years, when the world faced one of the most severe pandemics in decades. Amid today's ongoing global conflicts and crises, nursing has emerged as a noble humanitarian mission and a powerful force, demonstrating to the world that qualified nursing professionals constitute the backbone of healthcare systems. Their scientific and professional presence represents nearly one-third of all healthcare providers worldwide. Moreover, according to the latest international statistics, nursing is among the fastest-growing professions globally through 2025.

With continuous advances in nursing sciences, the profession's specialized fields have expanded significantly, opening wide horizons for young people aspiring to join this vital discipline. Accordingly, we firmly believe that the present time is ideal for beginning or advancing a professional career in nursing.

Registered nurses provide healthcare services to individuals, families, and communities across a wide range of settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, home healthcare, schools, workplaces, and beyond. As leaders, practitioners, and researchers in the field of nursing, we are committed to continuously seeking the best approaches to deliver safe, effective, high-quality, and cost-efficient care that ensures optimal health outcomes.

Globally, health and healthcare services are increasingly affected by complex and escalating challenges, such as the rising prevalence of chronic diseases, the growing healthcare needs of vulnerable populations, including refugees, and the rapid increase in the elderly population and their specialized care requirements. Consequently, the role of registered nursing in providing advanced, accessible, and needs-based care has become more critical than ever.

For nearly two decades, the Faculty of Nursing at Philadelphia University has been dedicated to preparing nurses who are capable of confronting these challenges with confidence and competence.
