About the Department

Due to the limited fossil fuel resources and their negative environmental impacts, there is growing global interest in the field of renewable energy. The objectives of the Renewable Energy Engineering program are to prepare and graduate qualified engineers in renewable energy engineering fields such as solar energy systems, wind energy, geothermal energy, and biomass energy, to meet the needs of the local and regional market in the renewable energy sector. Students of the Renewable Energy Engineering Department at the Faculty of Engineering, Philadelphia University will be qualified to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Renewable Energy Engineering, in which they will study courses in electrical engineering, energy conversion, and mechanical engineering, in addition to courses in renewable energy sources and fundamentals.
