The unit aspires to be a leading internal reference entity in institutional control and auditing, with commitment to the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and professionalism.
The Internal Audit and Control Unit seeks to support university management in achieving its strategic objectives through providing independent and objective audit and control services, verifying compliance with approved policies, regulations, and instructions, contributing to enhancing performance efficiency, protecting university assets and properties, and establishing principles of governance and institutional integrity.
Conduct financial and administrative audits of university activities according to the approved and implemented internal audit program and detect non-compliance cases.
Follow up on the implementation by various university departments of the financial and administrative plans assigned to them and the programs developed.
Review the implementation of regulations and administrative instructions to ensure consistency of application with the texts of laws, regulations, and instructions issued in this regard.
Verify the accuracy and validity of revenue and expenditure estimates included in the university budget and supervise the implementation of its items.
Provide the President with reports on audit results including observations, information, data, recommendations, and related statements.
Any other tasks assigned by the University President.
