Scientific and Cultural Cooperation Agreement Between Philadelphia University and Al-Maarif University in Iraq

Philadelphia University has signed a scientific and cultural cooperation agreement with Al-Maarif University in the Republic of Iraq, as part of efforts to strengthen academic partnerships and expand cooperation in higher education and scientific research.
The agreement was signed by the President of Philadelphia University, Professor Dr. Abdullah Al-Jarrah, and the President of Al-Maarif University, Professor Dr. Mahmoud Al-Saadi. It aims to develop bilateral relations between the two institutions, contributing to the exchange of expertise and knowledge, and opening new opportunities for students and faculty members, within a shared vision focused on advancing the quality of education and scientific research.
The memorandum outlines cooperation in several areas, most notably the exchange of information, curricula, and scientific research for publication purposes, as well as the organization of joint academic and scientific activities. It also includes the implementation of training workshops for students and faculty members.
Additionally, the agreement promotes joint academic supervision and the exchange of faculty members between the two universities to conduct collaborative research and deliver lectures. It also provides opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students to participate in joint research programs.
Both parties emphasized the importance of developing faculty training programs and offering specialized training courses tailored to each university’s needs. Furthermore, they highlighted cooperation in academic accreditation and quality assurance, supporting both universities’ presence in international rankings.
