This unit is responsible for planning, organizing and participating in sporting events inside and outside the university. Sponsoring students extra–curricular programs for athletic activities supervising and promoting students intramural and extramural sports activities and organizing variety of championships in group and individual games. Participating in the programs and activities of other universities as well as in the various athletic organizations for the sake of broadening the basis of cooperation and communications among all universities, Participating in the activities organized by the Sports Federation of Jordanian Universities. Holding athletic excellence admission and selecting and attracting the best and brightest of students. Holding special training courses in different games for students of both genders.
Philadelphia University has increased its financial and moral support of the Student Affairs Deanship over the last four years. This reflects the awareness on the part of the University’s leadership of the vital role played by the Deanship in enhancing the quality of the services it provides to the students. This has led to:
PERFORMING a more active role in planning and participating in the Sports Union of Jordanian Universities as well as the Arts and Cultural Union of Jordanian Universities.
INTENSIFYING the Deanship efforts to keep in touch with Philadelphia University graduates.
ATTRACTING more female students to participate in the various activities organized by the Deanship.
The Student Affairs Deanship constantly revises and evaluates its plans and activities in light of the feedback it gets from direct contacts with students. The Deanship, accordingly, intends to:
INCREASE student participation in all the activities it organizes.
DOUBLE its efforts to assist outstanding students through the Student Innovation Fund.
ENCOURAGE students to participate more actively in the University’s plans to develop and improve the University’s environment.
COOPERATE with national agencies and institutions in organizing various activities and preparing Philadelphia University students for the job market.
The Department of Student Activities has two sections: sporting and artistic activities. Their tasks include:
This unit looks after the University’s current and former students' need for support and services by
MAINTAINING the high quality of services provided to students in restaurants, green areas, and other facilities as well as receiving complaints about them to ensure that students get the best possible services.
SETTLING disputes and solving problems that may arise among students and referring some of the difficult cases to specialized committees.
SUPERVISING and facilitating recreational trips.
RECEIVING and processing students’ applications concerning Students' Fund, Students' Employment Fund, and Educational Security Fund.
ISSUING good-conduct certificates in accordance with University regulations.
RECEIVING lost property and taking the necessary measures to deliver them to their lawful owners.
FOLLOWING up students’ military service deferment applications.
PREPARING and supervising University publications related to students such as the Year Book and Student's Brochure.
ASSISTING students in finding suitable residence.
ISSUING entrance permits for cars owned by university students.
PROVIDING students' parents/guardians with information related to the students' academic and personal conduct.
SUPERVISING newly admitted students' in matters related to registration.
ISSUING university students’ ID Cards.
SUPERVISING Student Council elections.
ORGANIZING an annual conference on students' innovative thinking in cooperation with the Ministry of Education.
Within the Student Services Department, the Almanac Office is in charge of following up former Philadelphia University students' affairs with the aim of maintaining relations with them. For that purpose, the office keeps electronic records for all University graduates. The Almanac Office endeavors to assist these graduates in finding suitable jobs through contacting local private and public companies institutions.
On 10/10/2004, the International Students Office was established with the main objective of assisting Philadelphia University non-Jordanian students in all aspects of their life at the University and in Jordan such as visas and residence permits, among other things.
Achievements of Student Affairs Deanship
This department provides Philadelphia University students with essential services such as participating in courses, workshops, and conferences during their university study. The Department also arranges meetings between University students and some of the high-ranking Jordanian officials as well as some well-known personalities in the fields of culture and arts.
يعمل مكتب الإرشاد السلوكي على تقديم خدمات الإرشاد والتوجية النفسي والتربوي لطلبة الجامعة بهدف اكسابهم القدرة على حل مشاكلهم ، وفهم ذواتهم للوصول بهم إلى أعلى درجات التميز والإبداع.وذلك من خلال جلسات الإرشاد الفردي،والإرشاد الجمعي، والمحاضرات والندوات .
يسعى مكتب الإرشاد السلوكي إلى إكساب الطلبة مهارات حل المشكلات التي تواجههم، ووضع البدائل واختيار البديل المناسب، والقدرة على التفكير المنطقي، والحوار البناء، والتعبير عن النفس بطريقة مقبوله لا تؤذي الاخرين، كما يسعى إلى اكساب الطلبة مهارات إدارة الغضب ، وتنظيم الوقت ، واستغلال الطاقة والقدرة الموجودة عند الطالب بما يعود بالفائدة والنفع على الطالب وعلى مجتمعه.وذلك من خلال الإرشاد الفردي والإرشاد الجمعي ،والمحاضرات ، والندوات، والبروشرات التوعوية والتثقيفية.
ساعات الدوام
تمتد ساعات دوام المكتب من الساعة 8 صباحا ً - 4 عصرا ً كل يوم ، ويتم اعطاء موعد لطالب بعد مراجعته المكتب بما لا يتعارض مع جدوله الدراسي.
كيفية الحصول على خدمات المكتب الارشادي
يقدم مكتب الارشاد السلوكي خدماته لجميع طلاب الجامعة ويستطيع الطالب الحصول على الخدمه من خلال توجهه بشكل مباشر إلى المكتب وأخذ موعد للمقابلة، ويقوم المكتب بالتعامل مع جميع الطلاب واحتياجاتهم بسرية تامة، كما أن المركز على استعداد تام لمساعدة الطلاب على حل مشاكلهم سواء كانت مشاكل سلوكية، عاطفية، اجتماعية ،اسرية.او المشاكل التي تتعلق بسوء التكيف ونقص المهارات .
