Philadelphia University Celebrates Jordan Flag Day, Emphasizing Its National Symbolism

Philadelphia University organized a national event on the occasion of Jordan Flag Day, with wide participation from academic and administrative staff as well as students, in an atmosphere reflecting pride in the national flag and its deep-rooted significance.

In his speech, University President Professor Dr. Abdullah Al-Jarrah emphasized that this occasion represents an emotional milestone that recalls the journey of a proud nation built on determination and dignity. He noted that the Jordanian flag embodies a deeply rooted national identity and expresses sincere belonging to Jordanian soil, as well as the unity of Jordanians and their solidarity around their Hashemite leadership.

Al-Jarrah explained that the flag is not limited to its symbolic form, but carries meanings of commitment and responsibility, reflected in Jordanians’ dedication to protecting their homeland, preserving its security and stability, working diligently to safeguard its resources, and strengthening its progress.

He also recalled the sacrifices of Jordanians who gave their lives in defense of the الوطن, affirming that these sacrifices will remain a source of pride and inspiration for future generations, and that the Kingdom will continue to stand as a beacon of coexistence, tolerance, and peace.

The event included musical performances and patriotic poems presented by the university choir, celebrating the nation and its leadership. Students raised the Jordanian flag, chanted national slogans, and expressed their pride in their country and its leadership in a scene that reflected deep belonging and loyalty, in an atmosphere filled with pride and enthusiasm.

This event comes as part of Philadelphia University’s efforts to strengthen national values among its students and reinforce awareness of the symbolism of the Jordanian flag as an emblem of unity, sovereignty, and dignity.
