Blood Donation Campaign

The Community Service Committee at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at Philadelphia University organized a blood donation campaign for the benefit of patients at Prince Rashid bin Al-Hassan Military Hospital on March 21, 2023, in order to embody the concept of solidarity and cooperation in the university's mission.

This event coincided with Jordanian Dignity Day and Mother's Day, embodying the meaning that human life is the most precious thing we have by saving everyone in need of blood on their road to recovery.

A team from Prince Rashid bin Al-Hassan Military Hospital attended the Health Center at Philadelphia University. A large number of students and faculty members donated blood.

Mechanical Engineering Department Activities in Community Service

 

Supervising master's theses outside the university as well as serving as external examiners for master's students at Jordanian universities.

 

Faculty members in the department maintain continuous communication with the Jordan Engineers Association to follow up on the latest courses and to participate in preparing seminars and educational publications.

 

Development of an early fire alarm device to be used in Queen Noor Forest within the university and neighboring forests. Project Supervisor: Eng. Nadia Badarneh

 

Design of portable solar cells to serve remote areas and distant camps that lack electricity. Project Supervisor: Prof. Munther Obeid

 

Conducting an inspection and field visit to Salhoob Secondary School for Boys to assess the school's needs and the possibility of providing assistance from Philadelphia University represented by the Faculty of Engineering.
