About the Department
The Department of Basic and Humanities Sciences in the Faculty of Arts at Philadelphia University (PUABH) was established in 2022. It teaches mandatory and elective university requirements through face-to-face, e-learning, and blended learning modes. The department provides academic and intellectual services related to thought, civilization, language, culture, management, leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship, civic education, legal culture, human rights, voluntary work, and other fundamental concepts in the humanities. The department strives to develop students capable of keeping pace with developments and meeting challenges through critical thinking and practical skills, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and values needed to serve their local, regional, and global communities. The department serves as a central connection point for students across all scientific and humanities faculties, through the university requirements and supportive training courses it offers, which enhance intellectual, linguistic, educational, and other humanistic dimensions.
